About our Awards:
For those who remember Bob Lewis, you know why the Chamber named it’s Outstanding Citizen/Volunteer Award after Bob. Retired Colonel Bob Lewis was the quintessential “officer and a gentleman”. He spent many years at Fort Devens and when he retired made himself indispensable to his new home off base. He was a member of the Ayer Rotary and the Federated Church and was a founding father of this Chamber. Bob was known as a generous and dedicated man who literally did not have the word “no” in his vocabulary. He personified community service and leadership and his charitable work in the Nashoba Valley is legendary. His presence in the Nashoba Valley Region is sorely missed but the good deeds he did while here live on
