Volunteers will work together in small teams between 9am to noon on Saturday April 22 (Earth Day!) on a variety of parking area and trail cleanup and improvement efforts. Please come dressed appropriately for weather. Bring work gloves and a flat ended shovel (if you have one) to help finish clearing the approach at the Pellecchia boat launch site. Or come to the Cook Conservation area trail head to help extend the cleared parking area, help install the Koivumaki memorial bench, scout out other desirable prospective bench locations, mark trail exten-sion possibilities, or help with any other trail maintenance tasks as needed. Car pooling from a central location in town may be advisable, since parking is limited at both of these locations along the west side of Lunenburg Road (Rt. 70). Email David Spanagel with any questions: davidspanagel@comcast.net. Let's keep making Lancaster's stretch of the Nashua River a mag-
net for outdoor recreation, and a showpiece of conscien-
tious community stewardship!
