SPINNERS TO HOST “HIRING OUR HEROES”
LeLacheur Park to hold veterans-only job fair during ball game
The Lowell Spinners, short season affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are proud to announce a new promotion as a collective effort to help veteran transition back into civilian life. On August 30th
, the Spinners, alongside the Career Center of Lowell, will host their first ever “Hiring Our Heroes” promotion during their game against the Staten Island Yankees.
“Hiring Our Heroes” will be an in-game job fair designed specifically for veterans. Networking opportunities will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will continue throughout the ball game. All companies in attendance are currently hiring, open to hiring veterans, and are local.
“We here at the Lowell Spinners are incredibly thankful for all the men and women of our armed forces and an event like this is the least we could do to give back.” said Spinners Assistant General Manager Brian Radle. “We understand the transition back into civilian life can often be difficult and ‘Hiring Our Heroes’ is designed to ease the transition in a unique and fun way.”

- Veterans Northeast Outreach Center
Veterans wishing to attend are encouraged to bring their resume and military I.D. to the box office with the first 100 veterans to do so receiving a complimentary ticket to the game compliments of the Career Center of Lowell. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
