Honor our Veterans at Fort Devens Museum on November 11th
On Saturday November 11th, the Fort Devens Museum will hold its annual Open House celebrating Veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
The museum will be open from 10 AM to 4 PM. Exhibits are on view that chronicle the history of Camp and Fort Devens and the roles its men and women played overseas and on the home front. Additionally there will be two special programs during the day.
At 11:00 AM, Harvard resident, Jack Wilson, will present Remembrance and Search, taking listeners through the poignant process of finding and identifying the remains of U.S. soldiers declared missing in action in Europe in WWII.
At 12:30 PM, join us for The Poet Soldiers of the Great War. During this presentation, Dan Leclerc and Walter Wilson will combine historical narrative with readings of poetry, prose, and letters reflecting the savagery of WWI.
The Fort Devens Museum is located on the 3rd floor at 94 Jackson Road, Devens, MA. The building is wheelchair accessible. For more information about this event please call 978-772-1286 or email info@fortdevensmuseum.org.
