    Job Description

    Position:    Financial Advisor 
    Territory:   5 Branch Locations - Lunenburg, Lancaster, & Leominster Branches

    Schedule:  Full time; Monday through Friday with evening and weekend hours as needed to service member

    Workers’ Credit Union is seeking qualified candidates for an additional Financial Advisor to join our established Retirement Planning & Investment Center (RPIC) team. 

    Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of current employment experience selling financial products and services and investment retirement planning in a financial institution. Must have a MA certified Life, Accident, & Health Insurance license and current FINRA Series 7, 6, 63, and 65 or 66 licenses.  Candidates must possess analytical skills relating to financial information and calculations to assist with investment and financial planning activities and have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. The ability to be self-directed and to maintain confidentiality in all client relations and the ability to maintain all federal & state continuing education requirements is mandatory. Candidates must have a reliable vehicle and valid Driver’s License for travel to Workers’ branch locations. Bilingual skills a plus.

    General responsibilities include selling investment and insurance products to individuals and small businesses and providing financial analysis, counseling, and product recommendations. Responsibilities include assessing clients’ financial needs, resources available, financial goals and risk tolerance; and providing information and advice on the purchase (or sale) of investment and insurance products that best suit their individual needs. Candidates must follow regulatory directives in accordance with current laws, rules, regulations and directives of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Massachusetts Division of Banks, the National Credit Union Administration and other applicable government agencies. Participation required in member education seminars on saving for retirement, financial planning and related topics. Candidates are also expected to cross-sell Workers’ Credit Union products and services and assist with the training of Workers’ staff on investment and insurance products, services and appropriate operational features.
