    Job Description
    1. Job summary:
    This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts, including maintenance of the database, price lists and customers.  Duties include generating quotes, processing sales orders, providing customer and sales team support, handling routine questions and problems, and interfacing with other departments as necessary.
    1. Duties/responsibilities:
    • Field sales calls from customers and field sales representatives, developing key accounts
    • Work with customers, representatives and staff to meet customer demands
    • Develop rapport through quality service and support resulting in long term relationships
    • Generate quotations for products and services and maintain opportunities
    • Initiate and process sales orders
    • Follow up with successful and non-successful quotes to determine that customer needs are met
    • Maintain organization and improve efficiency of quote and order systems and quote templates
    • Generate mailings for sales activities
    • Assist with major proposals requiring extensive documentation
    • Maintain the sales database, import or revise contact information and status of quotes and orders
    • Effectively communicate important issues or potential problems to appropriate management and sales team
    • Demonstrate ability to multi-task, prioritize and solve problems
    • Increase familiarity with technical products and services
    • Team player with strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation
    • All other duties as assigned
    1. Education/Experience requirements:
    • 3-5 years experience in administrative sales position
    • 3-5 years experience or proven background in a technical service based company
    1. Additional experience/skills:
    • GMP, ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 familiarity
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Proficient with Windows Office suite and database management
    • Detail oriented
    1. Physical Demands:
    • Drug testing
    • Work environment is typically general office and occasional customer sites and exhibits
    • Occasional travel required
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Inoculations may be required
