Sales and Events Assistant: The Groton Inn in Groton, MA is seeking a Sales & Events Assistant as we launch this new property in May 2018. This is a year-round, an hourly position and the schedule will fluctuate, beginning with part time and then full time. Must be able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Sales & Events Assistant at The Groton Inn (TGI) will work closely with the Director of Sales and the Catering & Events Manager. The Assistant will help in creating memorable experiences for our guests, build relationships with clients and fellow team members, and consistently exceed expectations. The Assistant will help in the launching of TGI during pre-opening by receiving event, wedding, and corporate contract inquiries, answering the phone and taking messages, organizing files, and leading tours of the Inn. The Assistant will write Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and lead in the scheduling of staff and the execution of all events.
