2018 Medical Mission Trip to La Romana, Dominican Republic is gearing up!

Volunteers from the First Church in Sterling, Central Massachusetts, Maine and as far away as Virginia are teaming up and traveling to La Romana, Dominican Republic March 2-11, 2018 to provide medical, dental, and vision services to impoverished Haitian workers and families living in the bateys of the Dominican Republic. We are also working to complete the building of a hospital to serve the same population. For almost 20 years, with the help of many volunteers and supporters, this mission has been able to make a difference in the lives of the many people we serve. However, much work remains.

We are currently seeking volunteers to join this effort. If you are interested in traveling with our mission, please consider signing up. Or forward this info to an interested friend, especially if you know anyone in the medical field that would like to make this type of trip. It is such a powerful experience for both the young adults and the not-quite-so-young adults. If you are interested in volunteering to be a part of this adventure as a traveler or a support volunteer, please contact Doug Davis at 978-265-7547.
