FITCHBURG -- Fidelity Bank volunteers recently got their hands dirty helping build a new home on Henry Street for the Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts.
The home is for the Yang family, which has seven children including four with special needs.
Carolyn Read, executive director for the Habitat for Humanity, said the Fidelity Bank team of 16 volunteers painted trim and hung doors.
"Their visit was a huge help," she said. "We made great progress on the home that day."
The project is expected to be completed in February.

Fidelity Bank's day of service brought together the transition team helping with the Leominster-based community bank's merger with Gardner based Colonial Co-operative Bank under the Fidelity Bank charter, which will be finalized in 2018.
Fidelity Bank has a strong commitment to helping others through volunteering and through its annual LifeDesign Community Dividend, which is money the bank sets aside annually to support local causes.
