WESTFORD -- The town will save money on part of its project to convert the police dispatch center into an emergency management planning space thanks to students from Nashoba Valley Technical High School.

Students and staff volunteered to perform the demolition and renovation of the dispatch room, which gives students experience and prevents the town from paying labor costs.

The school also donated a new wood door for the renovated space in honor of the Richard Hasbrook, who recently died and was the father of two Nashoba Tech students.
