15th ANNUAL JANIS BRESNAHAN RUN FOR EDUCATION AND FAMILY FUN DAY SET FOR MAY 19TH
Family Fun Day Features Carnival Games, a Competitive 5K Run, 2-K Fun Run & Walk and Tot Trot!
Please join us Sunday May 19, 2019 for the 15th annual Janis Bresnahan 5K Run for Education and Family Fun Day! We have NEW CARNIVAL STYLE EVENTS! to add to the fun for all ages including a petting zoo, inflatables, carnival games, and arts and crafts! The running and walking events will feature a competitive 5K run through Ayer, as well as a 2-K, non-competitive Fun Run & Walk and a Tot Trot for children through age six. Additional features will include live music, barbeque, award ceremony and fun activities for kids of all ages!
The event will be held at Ayer Shirley Regional High School with race day registration beginning at 9:30 a.m., the Tot Trot to start at 10:30 a.m., the Fun Run & Walk at 11:15 a.m., and the 5K start is 12:00 p.m. Prizes will be given to the top finishers in all age categories. Amenities include course mile markers, chip timing, water stations, medical personnel, refreshments and restrooms. Post-race festivities will include an awards ceremony, barbecue, live music and fun activities for kids.

The pre-registration fee is $15 for the Tot Trot and $20 for the 5K Run or 2K Run/Walk. The first 300 registered participants will receive a free race T-shirt. All proceeds from the road race will go to the Ayer Shirley Education foundation (www.ayershirleyeducationfoundation.org) whose vision is to increase education opportunities for the students in Ayer Shirley Public Schools.
