Saturday, April 13th 7-9 PM: Original Dramatic Play [Old Groton Meeting House/First Parish Church]
6:30 PM: Drilling by the Sixth Middlesex Minutemen [Common at First Parish]
Patriots' Paths recovers the lost stories of how our towns made history immediately before, during, and in the wake of the American Revolution.
Using extensive research with primary sources,
these local stories have been woven into a dramatic script presenting the story
of how Groton came to embrace and prepare for Revolution.
A joint program with Groton History Center,
Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area, &
Old Groton Meeting House Preservation Fund
Thanks to Groton Commissioners of Trusts
At 6:30 PM, preceding the play, see members of the 6th Middlesex Minutemen drilling and firing on the common in front of the Old Meeting House (First Parish Church). The evening of April 13th will be a step back into 18th century Groton!
