    Marketing Assistant
    (Fitchburg, MA)
     
    Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Assistant position is an exciting opportunity with considerable potential for growth and development.  The role supports the marketing activities across the full range of current initiatives for both the United Way of North Central Massachusetts and Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts.
    Candidates should be creative, detail and deadline oriented, proactive and able to work efficiently and effectively in a team setting.

    About Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts:
    The Foundation supports the community by giving grants and distributions in the areas of health and human services, education, environment, animal welfare and arts and culture.  We are a non-profit organization, dedicated to helping donors establish permanent endowment funds – benefiting the community forever and creating a lasting legacy for fund holders.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Assist with the creation and distribution of print and digital marketing communications, including campaign materials, newsletters, etc.
    • Support email marketing efforts using Constant Contact
    • Participate in the planning and execution of events
    • Assist with internal project communications to ensure they remain on schedule
    • Update content on both websites
    • Facilitate the design, implementation and maintenance of all social media channels, including generating, editing, publishing and sharing daily social media content
    • Other duties as assigned
     
     
     
     
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, highly preferred
    • At least one year of marketing or related work experience
    • Experience with website management and graphic design
    • Detail-oriented and organized; works well under deadlines
    • Excellent time management and project management skills
    • Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and design acuity
     
    Skills:
    • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop); Constant Contact and Eventbrite are a plus
    • Experience with social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram); Hootsuite is a plus
