    Job Description
    Job Title: Community Fundraising Specialist
    Reporting to: Director of Development
    Location: Heart of New England Council Boy Scouts, Worcester County
    Hours: Full Time
    Salary: $40,000+ Based on experience in fundraising
     
    Job Summary: To raise money by running special events, community fundraisers, and making direct asks to community leaders and organizations. Must be able to handle multiple events at one time, and work well as team. Full-time position with benefits and starting salary of $40,000 for entry level; willing to add compensation for experience.  Please send your resume to scott.rosengren@scouting.org.
    Description of Duties:
    1. Create community fundraising events with the help of a volunteer committee
    2. Conduct donation asks to individuals and organizations
    3. Maintain record of all contacts, and submit a report at least monthly to the council
    4. Build and develop relationships with local business leaders
    5. Help run large scale special event fundraisers
    6. Help the council achieve its overall fund development goal of $678,000
    Qualifications: College Grad, 1-2 years fundraising experience preferred
    Additional Information:
    No Scouting experience necessary but knowledge of the program would be helpful. Must be willing to work with volunteers, be goal oriented. This is a full-time salaried position, with 24 PTO days and benefits that include medical, dental, vision, 403b, and expense reimbursement. Compensation maybe be significantly increased for experienced fund raisers, or those with strong Worcester connections in the business world. Pay raises are based on annual performance.
