“Voices from the Second World War” is the title of Fort Devens Museum’s program for Saturday February 18th at 1:00 PM. Expect to hear readings from interviews of local WWII Veterans and from letters written from the home front by a mother to son in the US Army overseas. We will be joined by Charley Valera, of Lunenburg, whose book “My Father’s War” has just been published and includes first-person narratives of Central Massachusetts Veterans of World War II. The stories lay bare the horror, unsettled nature, and the high adventure of war laced with dashes of unfailing spirit, courage, and humor.
This program is free and open to the public. The Fort Devens Museum is located at 94 Jackson Road, Devens, MA and is open on this day, Saturday the 18th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Exhibits feature the history of Camp and Fort Devens and the men and women who trained, worked, and lived here. For more information please call 978-772-1286 or email info@fortdevensmuseum.org
